Military Eras delivers fascinating, realistic presentations from every epoch in U.S. history:

Revolutionary War
Experience the birth of a nation – the struggle to bring independence to the American colonies. The militiaman, the Continental soldier, the sailor and Marine appear before you in authentic uniform, sharing the genesis of the American experience. You'll discover what it was like to serve from 1775 to 1800 under generals like Washington, Gates, and Greene – the harsh, unforgettable realities of drill, camp life, and combat.

Sean Kling, uniformed War of 1812 impressionWar of 1812
In this, one of America's forgotten wars, the country was torn by the British in the east and the Indians in the west. Face with our presenters the shock of Washington burned to the ground, the glory of the writing of The Star Spangled Banner, the triumph of General Andrew Jackson in New Orleans.

Seminole Wars
Erupting with the Dades Massacre in 1836 and dragging on almost to the outset of the Civil War, this was among our longest conflicts — a 19th century Vietnam, played out in the American Southeast. Know the dread of a jungle ambush — in Florida or southern Georgia.

Sean Kling, uniformed Mexican War impression Mexican War
The battles of this once-controversial war — Mexico City, Vera Cruz, the halls of Montezuma — are largely forgotten, but not the territorial expansion that pushed U.S. sovereignty all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Visit this time with us and understand not only memorable generals like Scott and Taylor, but also the American fighting man of this period.

Civil War
Brother against brother, a country torn apart. Bull Run, Shiloh, Antietam, Gettysburg, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, Sherman's March, Petersburg – these battles and campaigns still are known world-wide and studied today by every major military power. You'll see how Johnny Reb and Billy Yank lived, fought, and died in America's bloodiest war.

Indian Wars
We remember the famous names — Custer, Crook, Terry, Sitting Bull, Geronimo, CrazySean Kling, uniformed Indian Wars impression Horse — of the Indian Wars. But most Americans don't know the realities of hard service lived by troopers and riflemen on the plains and deserts from 1866 to 1891. This period was one of growth and change in the U.S. military, and a legendary time in the evolution of the American soldier.

Spanish-American War
The image of Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders charging up San Juan Hill is famous – and widely misunderstood. (They were on foot and much of the fighting took place on Kettle Hill.) In truth there is so much more — the capture of Guam, the occupation of Puerto Rico and Samoa, naval fighting with Dewey in Manila Bay. See with us what it was like for our fighting men in America's "Splendid Little War."

Boxer Rebellion
Fought in China in 1900, this may rank as the United States' most obscure conflict – but it's vivid and memorable to anyone who's seen our historical presentation. You'll be there with the heroic Marines at the Citadel and with U.S. sailors patrolling the dangerous coasts and rivers of China.

Philippines Insurrection
After taking the Philippines in the Spanish-American War, the United States fought a long-drawn-out war against the native people. This fascinating period brought vast change in military doctrine – and you'll know why after you experience our presentation.

World War I
The war to end all wars. From Seicheprey to Belleau Wood to the great silence of 11/11/1918, see what our fighting men lived through — the tension of antisubmarine warfare and the horrors of the trenches. Walk in their shoes and learn what it was really like "over there."

Banana Wars
In the 1920s and '30s, American troops battled in South America and the Caribbean, often in the service of the nation's economic Sean Kling, uniformed Banana Wars impressioninterests. Our presentation of this little-known series of conflicts, overshadowed by WWI before and WWII afterward memorably proves that so-called "low-intensity wars" are highly intense to the soldier, tar, or Marine on the ground.

World War II
The world at war, with America's sons and daughters playing vital roles in decisive final victory. Millions perished in this conflict and the repercussions are still felt today. Get to know what it was like to land at Utah Beach, serve as an Army Air Forces gunner, weigh anchor with a PT boat crew, confront hopeless odds at Wake Island, or keep our ocean frontiers secure with the Coast Guard.

Sean Kling, uniformed Korean War impression Korea
The indecisive war that never really ended – American soldiers still confront hostile North Korean forces at the DMZ today. Our first conflict with United Nations backing, this three-year war cost more than 50,000 American lives. Visit this period, when our armed forces learned to fight wars with limited objectives.

Cold War
We are only now discovering many of the long-term effects of the Cold War. Some people remember Checkpoint Charlie and staring down the Soviet bear, but there is so much more. Learn what it was like to be a "cold warrior" on this side of the Iron Curtain.Viet Nam War uniform photo

Vietnam
Fought from 1963 to 1975, and often depicted as the bad war by TV and movies, this period is widely misunderstood. Find out what it was like to hump through the jungle as a Marine, battle MiGs and SAMs with an Air Force flight crew, fight in Saigon with the
Army, or ride a patrol boat with the brown-water Navy.

Gulf War / Present
First Gulf War, Somalia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan: We'll show you the gear, missions, and tactics of the modern military – what it's really like to serve in the post Cold War period.
